Me and the boys spent about twenty minutes searching dor four leaf clovers the other day. They found several each. I found none. I’ve never found one, in fact.
Finding a four leaf clover gives you luck. Or does it?
I think the causality might actually be the reverse. Finding a four leaf clover requires luck (”no, just powers of observation” — shut up!). Does finding one then give you luck, or just confirm that you are already lucky? If you need to be lucky to find one and it also gives luck then the effect would snowball. This could explain why the boys kept finding more of them, but I still hope it isn’t like that. Because it would be so deeply unfair.
